Riverside Brewery Announces Expansion

Route 30 Brewing Company to relocate to larger brewery space in Riverside, open new taproom in Corona

RIVERSIDE, CA: Today, Route 30 Brewing Company, a local brewery that has brought craft beer to the Riverside community since 2016, announced that they will relocate their main production brewery from 9860 Indiana Avenue to 11620 Sterling Avenue.

This announcement comes after Route 30 Brewing announced the construction of a new taproom and production space in Corona, CA, which is anticipated to open in the fall.

“We found a great opportunity in Corona but in planning out the space we realized it will not meet all of our production needs,” says Eric Brummell, co-founder and co-owner of Route 30 Brewing. “The availability of the Sterling Avenue location solves a lot of challenges around production and distribution. The fact that it’s a turnkey brewery allows us to get started on production at a higher volume almost immediately so that we don’t lose our momentum.”

Brummell and partner Tom Creely predict they will be able to open their doors on Sterling Avenue by late spring.

“We have some work ahead of us, including the installation of a new brewing system,” said Creely. “But, ultimately, this space is already configured to support our expansion plan.”

The new location boasts a spacious taproom where customers will be able to enjoy their favorite Route 30 beers, like Hazy Day and Razztastic, as well as food from the in-house kitchen.

On April 1, 2023, Brummell and Creely hand over the keys to the Indiana Avenue location to a new brewery, Carbon Nation Brewing.

Route 30 Brewing entered the local craft beer scene in 2016 when they purchased the Indiana Avenue location from Thompson Brewing Company, who moved across the street to build out a larger space. Since then, Brummell and Creely have put Route 30 Brewing on the map as one of the top 10 craft breweries in California according to Yelp. In 2019, Brummell and Creely received the Young Entrepreneurs Award from the Riverside Chambers of Commerce and opened a taproom location on Mission Inn Avenue.
